Battersea Fields Practice Thessaly Road Branch moving to state-of-the-art Sleaford Street Health Centre in January 2026

We are writing to let you know about some exciting news for Battersea Fields Practice.

We are delighted to tell you that early next year we will be moving from our Thessaly Road location to a newly built, state of the art health centre in Sleaford Street, just three minutes’ walk away.

The main Battersea Fields Practice site at 3 Austin Road, Battersea, SW11 5JP will remain open as usual and will be unaffected by this change.

There will be an increase to practice staff and clinics, with longer opening hours compared to Thessaly Road – we will offer appointments from 8.30am-6.30pm Monday to Friday.

As well as the benefit of new purpose-built premises, with investment from Wandsworth Council, the new branch will offer improved facilities for patients. These include improved accessibility, a spacious waiting area – including a quiet waiting area – disabled facilities, baby changing room and more space for health and wellbeing activities.

Please be assured that you will not need to do anything because of this change. You will remain registered with the practice and can continue to access the services as you usually would. The telephone number and website will also remain the same.

You can find out more by visiting https://www.batterseafieldspractice.co.uk/category/practicenews/ where you will also find our frequently asked questions. If you require a hard copy of this, please ask the practice reception teams.

If you would like to join us for a face-to-face drop in sessions to hear more about this and ask any questions these will be held on:

  • 9 October 2025 6.30-8.00pm R.O.S.E Centre, 22 Ascalon St, Nine Elms, London SW8 4AN
  • 23 October 2025 6.30-8.00pm The Doddington and Rollo Community Association Limited, Charlotte Despard Avenue, London SW11 5JE

Thank you for your understanding during this period of change. We remain dedicated to providing you with the highest standard of care and appreciate your trust in us.  Your care and well-being remains our top priority and our staff will make sure that all our patients, including vulnerable and housebound patients, are supported to ensure as seamless transition as possible.

If you have any further queries or concerns, please contact the management team at Battersea Fields Practice on 020 7627 7100.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new building.
