Test results texting service to be switched off from 1.4.18

Unfortunately the texting service for test results is being switched off by Wandsworth CCG from 1.4.18.  In future test results will be accessible on-line, via EMIS on-line, or the “myGP” app.

If you already have on-line access  (for appointments and repeat prescriptions) please ask at reception to be given access to your test results also.  If you are not yet registered for on-line access, please ask for a registration form at reception.  You will need to present photo ID when registering.

Texting reminders regarding appointments is unaffected and will continue as usual.

Flu jabs now available

The latest news is that the number of cases of influenza has significantly increased.  We would encourage all our eligible patients  to consider having the flu vaccine this year – the practice stocks the quadrivalent vaccine – the most effective against the flu strains that are prevalent this year.

We have a walk-in clinic from 10-12pm Monday-Friday, or you can make an appointment with a health care assistant (or practice nurse if you are aged under 16 years, or pregnant).

Have you given us your feedback?

Please use the friends and family feedback form on this website (“the practice” tab).  Alternatively you can use your “my GP” app after your appointment, or leave paper feedback – forms available in the waiting room at both sites.

Have you got the new “my GP” app?

This is a new phone/tablet app that allows you to order your repeat medication or book appointments in advance, and you can also use it to cancel your booked appointments if you need to.

It is quick and easy to register and use.  You can also continue to use the EMIS on line app too. Just ask at reception for more information.

Are you a carer for a family member?

If you are a carer for a family member of close friend, we would like to know – it doesn’t matter if you are young or old – there is no upper or lower age limit.   We want to involve you in how the practice communicates with carers, and offer additional support to ensure you look after your own health as well as that of the person you care for.  We also hold carers meetings periodically, giving you links to other carers and organisations, and giving you the opportunity to talk to us and tell what we can differently that you would find helpful.

You can let a member of the reception team know next time you are in the practice, or you can telephone to tell us, or send us a message by email at [email protected]

More information is on the carers page of this website, under “information”

lunchtime closure for training: dates for 2017-18

Occasionally it is important that we close the practice at lunchtime to allow the whole practice team to meet together for training.

The dates for 2017-18 are as follows:

Tuesday 19th December 2017

Tuesday 17th April 2018

Tuesday 25th September 2018

Tuesday 18th December 2018

On these days the surgery will be shut 1-2.30pm.  Telephone calls will be redirected to our call handling service, who will contact our emergency GP when necessary.

No reception staff will be available during these times, and you will not be able to gain access to the practice unless arranged with the emergency doctor through the call handing service.

We apologise if this causes you any inconvenience.
