Important Notice For Patients

From Monday 5th February 2024, we are changing the way we process your requests for appointments/consultations, advice, admin etc due to NHS England contracts changes. This change will make it easier to contact the practice.

To help us deliver this service, patients are requested to inform us of their needs via the “Appointments” link on this website (opens 7.30am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri) and complete a simple form. You can also access the form via your NHS App.

Our triage team, which includes a GP, will assess your needs and signpost you to the most appropriate clinician or service, either within the practice or to external local services and you will only have to contact the practice once.

We have an excellent team of Physician Associates, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators. Each team of Health Care Professionals provides specialist care alongside support from our regular GPs. These skilled Practitioners, who specialise in a wide range of clinical areas, enhance the care that our doctors provide. We are also training undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians who are supported by our GPs.

We will continue to offer the same level of friendly service and you will still be able to see your usual GP as appropriate.

Also, we work closely with our local community pharmacies who are skilled in treating many minor conditions, and this improves access at the Practice for more serious conditions. Please consider checking out our “self-help” link before contacting the Practice.

You will receive the same level of care and service, whether you contact us online, face-to-face or via a phone call. If you phone or attend the practice, one of our trained patient coordinators will ask you the same questions that are on the form on the website and will forward this to the triage team for assessment. We encourage patients to complete the form on the website, where possible, for their convenience.

If you have an enquiry after 4.30pm, that cannot wait until the following day, please phone the practice for help.

We hope that this new system works well for you and if you have any feedback please click on the “friends and family” button on this website or complete a form in the reception
